1. What is VariFlame™ technology?

  • VariFlame™ technology is the patented system that allows our heaters to vary the flame to provide the exact amount of heat required.

2. How can a water heater be tank-less?

  • Tank-less water heaters are common throughout most of the world.
  • In a tank-less water heater the water is heated as it goes through the copper tubing which makes multiple passes through the heat exchanger.

3. How can I order PrecisionTemp™ products as original equipment?

  • You can order direct from the factory.
  • Dealers can also order through NTP Distribution
  • Manufacturers can also order through WESCO Distribution

4. Who can retrofit PrecisionTemp™ products to my RV?

  • Any reputable or good handyman.

5. How do I know if PrecisionTemp™ products are
    compatible with my RV, boat or horse trailer?

  • The RV-500 is compatible with almost all RVs, boats, or horse trailers that have a 10 gallon propane-fired water heater.
  • For those with 6 gallon heaters you will need to insure that you can enlarge the sidewall cut-out by 2.5” in height and 1” in width.
  • Sailboats should use the ShowerMate™ water heater.
  • The TwinTemp-2™ and TwinTemp JUNIOR™ could be difficult to retrofit and should be installed as original equipment by the manufacturer.

6. Is the ShowerMate™ safe for my boat?

  • The ShowerMate™ is specifically designed for boats.
  • Is certified to the appropriate ANSI standards.
  • In the event of flue obstruction, the ShowerMate™ will automatically turn off.

7. How do I know whether the RV-500 or the TwinTemp is right for my needs?

  • PrecisionTemp™ products are the smart choice for RVers who want comfort and convenience at a great value.
  • For existing coaches, fifth wheels, and trailer, the RV-500 provides endless hot water while using 30% to 50% less propane
  • For those purchasing a new RV, if quiet, comfortable heating is desired in addition to endless hot water, then the TwinTemp-2 and TwinTemp JUNIOR are ideal; engine assist and HotTap are optional on the TwinTemp-2
